STEM – Informatics – Technology 4.0

05/04/2022

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is an integrated education method that teaches through practice and application, which helps forming and developing problem-solving abilities, and creating a learning style. Learners can benefit from this creativity. STEM education is distinguished by the use of creative experiential activities, which allows us to bridge the gap between academia and practice, producing forms individuals capable of working “instantly” in an environment requiring high creativity and mind-demanding jobs of the twenty-first century. In the industrial revolution, STEM becomes a top priority field in children’s education worldwide. 4.0.

STEM has a positive impact on high school students’ journeys to discover and develop their own abilities, and it influences affects each individual’s career choice and future direction.

Students will gain knowledge about science, technology, engineering, and math cohesively through STEM, receiving integrated knowledge in an interdisciplinary approach. Students will not only learn fundamental knowledge, but will also practice applying it in various fields, solving various problems in life, and developing creative thinking as well as practical skills.

PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL

FPT Schools is the first high school to incorporate programming languages such as Scratch and Python into the curriculum. Basic computer and programming knowledge is specifically designed to meet the acquisition capacity of students in from grades 1 through to 9, with the following contents: Basic computer skills; main applications; online life; and enjoyable hands-on projects

FPT students’ Informatics output standards are based on IIG’s international certificates:

  • Spark Primary School (IC3)
  • Spark Middle School (IC3 – GS6)

The Ministry of Education and Training’s Technology subject is used to implement the Technology 4.0 program with secondary school students. From grade 6 to grade 9, students have access to context 4.0 projects such as robotics, control programming, AI, IoT, and so on.

HIGH SCHOOL

The Informatics program teaches according to the IGCSE curriculum, students have a basic understanding of information technology, programming, applying technology to learning and life from the beginning of grade 10.

Hands-on learning methods to gain knowledge and train skills, students will be developing skills through teamwork to complete academic projects at each semester. These projects are practical, can be applied in life.
