FSchoolers “Green Their Classrooms” Through Natural Science

Beyond gaining knowledge, FSchoolers actively participate in planting and nurturing greenery, transforming their classrooms into lush spaces as part of their Natural Science curriculum.

To bring nature closer to students and make learning more engaging, the “Green Your Classroom” project was launched in the Natural Science course for 6th and 7th grade FSchoolers at FPT Cau Giay Primary and Secondary School.

In this project, FSchoolers don’t just learn about plants from textbooks; they experience the process hands-on by planting and caring for greenery. From tiny seeds sprouting into vibrant plants under daily care, these young learners create refreshing green corners in their classrooms.

Reflecting on his self-grown plant after nearly two months of participating in the “Green Your Classroom” project, Nguyen Phuc Minh (Class 7A2) shared: “I chose to plant water spinach because it’s easy to grow, grows quickly, and can be harvested for eating. Through this activity, I’ve learned how to care for plants and have also gained patience!”

Nguyen Phuc Minh (Class 7A2) proudly holds the pot of water spinach he planted.

Similarly, Dao Khanh Minh (Class 7A5) expressed: “I felt excited when sowing the seeds and happy when the plants started to bear fruit. I’ve learned about the different growth stages of plants, from seed preparation and planting to soil care and maintenance. I planted black beans and hope they’ll yield lots of beans for me to make sweet soup.”

These pots of greenery not only bring freshness to the classrooms but also improve the air quality, making the environment more pleasant. Guided by their teachers, students learned every step of the process—from selecting plants and sowing seeds to nurturing healthy growth.

This project not only fosters a love for nature among FSchoolers but also raises environmental awareness, encouraging them to appreciate the little things around them. Hopefully, these green sprouts will continue to inspire and bring joy to both students and teachers!
