FSchoolers Da Nang met students from Shitennoji University – Japan

On February 20th, FSchoolers from FPT Elementary & Middle School in Da Nang had a very special meeting and exchange session with teachers and students from Shitennoji University - Japan.

Leading the visiting delegation was Ms. Kazuko Kashiwagi – Professor of Education Department, Director of the International Cooperation Office at Shitennoji University in Japan. Prior to this, she had also visited FPT Schools in Da Nang and expressed her impression and enthusiasm for the teaching and learning methods of FSchoolers and FSchool teachers.

05 students from the visiting delegation along with 02 professors attended an English class conducted by Fschoolers to gain a better understanding of classes, teaching methods of teachers, as well as the learning methods of FPT Schools students.

Right after that, the students from Shitennoji University shared and introduced the distinctive features of Japanese culture and people to FSchoolers. The highlight of the meeting was the story “The Cello Player” by the famous writer Miyazawa Kenji, which was reenacted by the university students on the stage of FSchool Da Nang. FSchoolers in Da Nang also had the opportunity to embody the characters in the story, showcasing their acting skills and using their language. Together, they created a wonderful atmosphere for the meeting.

The Shitennoji University students shared and introduced aspects of Japanese culture and people’s characteristics to FSchoolers.

Participating in the program, FSchoolers were very excited and impressed to meet Japanese students. At the same time, they performed a traditional dance performance of Vovinam, which made the international students amazed and admired the dynamism of FSchoolers.

After the program, the teachers and students from Shitennoji University expressed their interest and high appreciation for the English communication skills of FPT Schools students. They believe that the meeting and exchange will provide additional motivation for Shitennoji students on their journey to become educators.
