FSchooler Ha Nam Wins Silver Medal at the 2024 Korea International Youth Science Olympiad

On August 6, 2024, Hoang Duy Hung, a student from class 7A1 at FPT Primary, Secondary, and High School Ha Nam, earned a Silver Medal at the 2024 Korea International Youth Science Olympiad (KIYO).

The 2024 Korea International Youth Science Olympiad occurred in Seoul, South Korea, on August 4-5. With a strong foundation of knowledge and confident presentation skills, Hoang Duy Hung (FSchooler Ha Nam) impressed the judging panel with his English presentation on technology and programming. Ultimately, Duy Hung and his team secured the Silver Medal.

KIYO is an international youth science competition designed to encourage creativity, exploration, and discovery among young people, fostering talents in science and technology. The Olympiad is organized by the World Women Inventors & Entrepreneurs Association (WWIEA) and sponsored by various global scientific organizations, including the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO), the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), and Seoul National University.

Once again, the Vietnamese flag proudly flies on the international stage! Congratulations to Duy Hung and FPT School Ha Nam!

Before that, Duy Hung won two prizes at the International STEM Olympiad 2024 in The Hague, Netherlands. The two prizes included Gold Medal for grades 6-7-8 in the Informatics category and Bronze Medal for grades 6-7-8 in the Mathematics category.
