FPT Students Achieve Top Ranks in International Competitions
In the final week of November, FPT Schools students excelled across four prestigious international competitions, bringing home numerous accolades. In two of these contests, participants achieved the highest ranks while also leaving a remarkable impression in other arenas with outstanding results.
At the 2024 International Math Challenge (IMC), Truong Ba An (Grade 2A8, FPT Primary and Secondary School Da Nang) competed in a higher age category (Grades 3-4) and secured first place among 1,597 participants in this division. The IMC 2024 featured six age-appropriate categories and attracted nearly 10,000 contestants from 85 countries. Additionally, 11 other students from the school achieved notable results, earning 1 gold, 5 silver, and 5 bronze awards.
In STEM, the FSC HANA 1 team from FPT Primary, Secondary, and High School Ha Nam triumphed as champions in the Robot Stick ‘Em category at the 2024 Global Robotics Games in Singapore. The competition hosted 37 teams from six countries. Other FPT Ha Nam teams also brought home 1 runner-up award, 1 honorable mention, and 1 creative engineering award.
At the 2024 International Robothon in Thailand, the high school team from FPT High School Da Nang, in collaboration with Hope School, earned the Distinction Award in the Expanded category. Meanwhile, FPT High School Bac Tu Liem was awarded the Excellence Award. This event featured 142 teams from five countries, offering valuable learning opportunities.
Not stopping at math and STEM, seven contestants from FPT High School Da Nang and FPT High School Can Tho shone at the Tournament of Champions of the World Scholar’s Cup held at Yale University (USA), securing 10 gold and 18 silver medals.
These achievements not only highlight the talents of FPT Schools students but also underscore their intellectual growth and linguistic skills cultivated in an international educational environment.
The successes stem not only from individual efforts but also from FPT Schools’ modern and holistic education model. With the slogan “Experience to Grow,” the school focuses on equipping students with both knowledge and practical skills. This ensures students excel in their specialties while fostering creativity and real-world problem-solving abilities.
Alongside the standard curriculum set by the Ministry of Education and Training, FPT Schools integrates three distinctive training programs including English Program, Personal Development Program and Technology Program.
These programs support students in embracing the school’s five core values: technology, independence, creativity, individual respect, and diverse experiences—guiding them toward personal growth and readiness for future challenges.
Beyond academics, students are encouraged to participate in diverse extracurricular activities, from creative clubs and national and international competitions to meaningful community projects.
Reflecting on his experience, Hoang Duy Hung (Grade 8A2, FPT Primary, Secondary, and High School Ha Nam), a champion in the Robot Stick ‘Em category at the Global Robotics Games, shared:
“At school, I get to engage in many activities related to my interests, with full support and encouragement from my teachers. They also frequently introduce competitions for us to challenge ourselves and learn.”
