FPT Edu Hosts Groundbreaking Ceremony for FPT Hue Education Complex Project

On the morning of July 31st, FPT Edu hosted the groundbreaking ceremony for the FPT Hue Education Complex project. This facility, designed to accommodate 20,000 learners, combines comprehensive K-12 education, vocational training, and practical college education. It is located in the new An Van Duong Urban Area, Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town, Hue City.

Attendees from FPT Edu and FPT University included Dr. Le Truong Tung (Chairman of the FPT University Council), Dr. Tran Ngoc Tuan (Vice President of FPT University), and Ms. Vu Thu Hien (Chief of Office, FPT Edu).

Representing FPT Polytechnic and the FPT High School system were Mr. Vu Chi Thanh (Principal of FPT Polytechnic College), Mr. Bui Quang Hung (Director of FPT Polytechnic College), Mr. Nguyen Dinh An (Director of FPT Polytechnic Da Nang), and Mr. Nguyen Duy Linh (Director of FPT Polytechnic Hue).

From the FPT High School system, attendees included Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Ngan (Director of FPT Primary and Secondary School Da Nang) and Ms. Phung Thi Loan (Director of FPT High School Da Nang). Representing FPT Edu’s Investment and Construction Board was Mr. Nguyen Huu Hiep (Head of Investment and Construction, FPT Edu).

Mr. Pierre Huyard (CEO of Huni Architectes Asia-Pacific) and representatives from the design and construction units of the FPT Hue Education Complex also attended the event.

The project was symbolically initiated with a groundbreaking ritual, where representatives from FPT Edu, FPT University, FPT Polytechnic, PTCĐ, and FSchools ceremonially placed five stones representing the five main buildings of the complex according to “feng shui.”

Dr. Le Truong Tung (Chairman of the FPT University Council) remarked during the ceremony, “The groundbreaking event of the education complex in Hue is significant, as the facility is located in the ancient capital, a land associated with the cultural, historical, and academic traditions of our nation. The FPT Education Complex in Hue marks an important development milestone for FPT Edu as we implement our ‘Doubling every two years’ strategy.”

Dr. Le Truong Tung expressed hope that the FPT education project will become an architectural highlight and an important educational institution for both FPT Edu and Hue City.

Mr. Pierre Huyard (CEO of Huni Architectes Asia-Pacific), representing the design unit, expressed his joy and honor to collaborate on various FPT Edu construction projects in recent years. He also highlighted the distinctive and symbolic features of the buildings, which are designed for optimal functionality.

Representatives from FPT Edu’s leadership and the design and construction units performed the groundbreaking ritual for the FPT Hue Education Complex project.

The complex includes five lecture buildings: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon, a multi-purpose service building, a sports training and competition house, football fields, an outdoor central square, and other auxiliary structures.

These facilities are being built on over 8.68 hectares of land, with more than 2 hectares dedicated to construction and the rest for internal roads, green spaces, etc. This is considered a modern, well-equipped education complex that maximizes the learning and working experience in Thua Thien Hue.

The five elements inspired the project’s design, with the five lecture buildings arranged around a central stadium, spreading out like the petals of a golden apricot blossom.

The FPT Hue Education Complex is expected to meet the educational needs of approximately 20,000 students and create about 600 jobs for local people.
