Impressions of the first parent meeting of the new school year at FPT Schools: Strange and touching

On September 25, more than 2,000 parents of FPT Hanoi High School attended the first meeting of the year to exchange their children's learning and activities at the school in new and meaningful ways.

At the meeting, FPT Schools teachers informed the children’s learning and activities at the school and set challenging goals in the new school year for teachers and students to strive for. Through the meeting, parents have a better understanding of the school, class, educational philosophy, teachers, different curriculum of FPT Schools system, etc.

Besides, parents can also listen to the sharing, the students’ own thoughts. The direct participation of students in the meeting brought a lot of impressions and emotions to parents because through this parents can see the maturity and confidence of their children.

Especially for parents whose children are away from home for the first year of boarding school, there must have been worries and concerns. After the past 1 month, all parents feel the initial changes in their children. With the guidance and help of teachers and seniors, K10 was confident, bold and caught up with the pace of life at Hola.

One of the other differences of FPT Schools is that not only does the meeting form “teachers talk – parents listen” as usual, at the meeting at the beginning of this year, parents have enjoyed cultural performances, received participate in interesting games such as writing poems about children or transforming into students to give presentations on the podium.

In addition, parents can also receive handwritten letters from their children sharing about life away from home, expressing their thoughts and desires with their parents. Many parents were moved and could not hold back their tears when reading these loving words. In response to their children’s feelings, parents also convey their concerns and expectations.

The parent meeting at the beginning of the year is not only an opportunity for the school to deploy the school year’s learning plans to parents, but also a bridge to cement the relationship between the family and the school in educating the future generation.
